Job Description

The Building People are seeking a qualified Senior Systems Engineer to:

  • Provide technical support in the system architecture, system design, system integration, and technical management.
  • Provide technical input to the systems engineering process.
  • Lead the process of designing, building, and rolling out applications.
  • Write high-quality code and lead code reviews.
  • Plan and document technical specifications for future application features or infrastructural systems.
  • Direct the development team through the design, development, testing, and debugging processes.
  • Work closely with management and other stakeholders to document and shape business requirements and translate those into technical requirements the development team can act on.
  • Provide configuration and custom development support.
  • Lead projects in the software development lifecycle, including performance analysis, design, development, and testing.
  • Share best practices within and across development team members.
  • Engage in and lead in application performance tuning.
  • Engage in application architecture and design decisions.
  • Discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level clients.
Skills & Requirements

Required Experience

  • At least 7 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Proposed SaaS solution Application.
  • Certified experience with large SaaS implementations with proposed SaaS solution, integrating with 3rd party solutions and mobile solution.
  • Preferred: Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) experience, such as Archibus, TRIRIGA, Nuvolo, ServiceNow WSD, Maximo, and/or FMSystems.
Education
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Ability to operate independently.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to meet Federal & DoD Gov’t security background checks, HSPD-12, Fingerprinting, plus agency-specific screening.
  • 2+ years successfully working from home or remote location, with minimal supervision.
  • Operate within a NIST 800-171 compliant security environment internally and able to support all client-required cyber security data and operational processes. Value and protect company, colleague, and customer data.
  • Operate within a home office environment that provides adequate workspace and high-speed internet connectivity.
