Job Description

The Building People, LLC has a short-term (3 month) open position for a Inventory / Property Specialist. The selected candidate will perform property inventory of government assets as required to conduct our customers yearly physical inventory.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, the following areas and associated tasks:

  • Perform and participate in the daily operations of inventory processes
  • Works with team members to ensure daily tasks are accomplished
  • Conduct scanned inventory of common areas throughout HQ and preliminary blind inventory for designated areas
  • Conduct email outreach to offsite employees and others as necessary. Performs multiple rounds of follow-up as necessary

 

 

Skills & Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience with inventory or property managementExperience with large spreadsheets and databases in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Must have two (2) years or more experience in conducting physical inventories and reconciliation processes. 
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Position will require above average physical activity, crouching, bending and lifting.
  • Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills.
  • Ability to pass a security background investigation.
  • Ability to work independently and highly motivated.
  • Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience using a computer, barcode scanner, and printer hardware;
  • Be able to use GAO e-mail system to retrieve and send messages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel software.
  • Ability to utilize GAO Asset management software. (Training shall be provided)
  • Ability to spend considerable time periods during the day walking and bending.
  • Ability to pass a security background investigation.
