Job Description

Job Description/Duties:

The Building People LLC are looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to work on a federal entity in Kings Point, NY.

The Inventory Clerk will:

  • Utilize Maximo to monitor and maintain onsite inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and other physical inventory counts as directed.
  • Receives, unpacks, and delivers/stocks parts & supplies.
  • May reconcile shipments & inventory to ensure order accuracy.
  • Identify material in storage that is not on record.
  • Perform in-depth searches for material that is in storage but not in its specified location.
  • Create and update inventory barcodes.
  • Identify material by part number, national stock number, or other identifying characteristic, including local tagging to identify specific units.
  • Perform occasional identification by serial number.
Skills & Requirements

Experience & Education:

  • Familiarity with Maximo
  • Must have good understanding of inventory and receiving processes and methodologies. 
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma plus 3 years' experience.
  • Ability to pass federal background investigation.
Qualifications
