Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The AvantGarde, LLC (AG) Human Capital Analyst supports Consultants in the design, implementation, and evaluation of strategic human capital programs and processes and may be involved in one or more of the following: organizational assessments, workforce and workload assessments, competency assessments, talent acquisition strategy and management, communications planning and change management, and succession planning.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Support team members in a variety of human capital and organization development tasks to include organizational assessments, workforce and workload assessments, competency assessments, talent acquisition strategy and management, and communications planning and change management.

·         Participate in evaluations and assessments designed to identify and define issues, review and analyze data, and evaluate/document best practices.

·         Schedule and prepare for interviews and focus groups with employees and managers associated with organizational assessments as needed; develop protocol instruments and capture results.

·         Assist the Project Manager by contributing to the development of project plans, gathering background documentation, and interacting with agency employees and managers.

·         Contribute to the team’s project efforts in areas including leadership development, organization assessment, strategy development, team effectiveness, training design and delivery, change management, project management, and/or business process optimization.

·         Identify and determine the appropriate data to be analyzed to support the objectives of a project; conduct quantitative and/or qualitative analysis and interpretation for the project team.

·         Support project team members in creating reporting metrics, dashboards, and analytics to monitor, analyze progress, and effectively deliver assessment and results to organizational leaders.

·         Research and report on human capital best practices benchmark studies.

·         Support project team members in drafting report chapters; incorporate feedback from the project team and the client.

·         Conduct quality assurance review for all final draft documents for grammar and completeness.

·         Develop report and presentation templates and prepare presentation materials; develop presentation content with senior consultant and/or project manager guidance.

·         Upload and store all project work in the appropriate project SharePoint file.

 

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

·         Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in Human Capital Strategy, Organizational Development, or Strategic Workforce Planning in the public sector; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Organizational development skills including the design/redesign and implementation of organization structures including aligning mission, strategy, functions, and structure; identifying changes to roles and responsibilities; and assessing the impacts to overall workforce.

·         Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, synthesize, and summarize relevant data; perform root cause analysis; analyze workforce and competency data; and provide recommendations and solution strategies to government clients.

·         Ability to communicate the rationale for changes in policies/programs to high level managers, leaders, and stakeholders.

·         Experience developing comprehensive PowerPoint presentations. 

·         Flexibility and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to use clear, crisp, accurate, and compelling language when conveying complex and core concepts.
