Job Description

AvantGarde, LLC (AG) seeks to engage an experienced Senior SharePoint Online and Power Platform Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the migration of SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online. You will also be leading the designing, implementation, and support of SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, architect technical solutions, and ensure successful deployment and migration projects.

AG offers a comprehensive benefit package including a monthly commuter benefit as well as immediate medical enrollment and a generous 401k.  This is a full time, 40 hours per week position.  The work is performed on a hybrid schedule with two days onsite in Washington, DC.

The WORK

  • Leading SharePoint migration projects from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online, ensuring smooth transition of content and functionality.
  • Designing and developing SharePoint Online solutions including sites, lists, libraries, and workflows using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and other modern development techniques.
  • Designing, developing, and deploying solutions using Power Apps to automate business processes and enhance user productivity
  • Designing, configuring and managing Power Automate workflows to automate tasks and integrate with other Microsoft 365 products.
  • Collaborating with users to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions utilizing various Microsoft 365 products.
  • Providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.
  • Conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting of solutions to ensure reliability and user satisfaction.
  • Documenting solution architectures, deployment plans, and support procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Skills & Requirements

The REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer or Engineer with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role.
  • Extensive experience with SharePoint Online/Microsoft 365, including architecture, administration, and customization.
  • Experience in developing custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in developing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI within Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint migration projects from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and security best practices within SharePoint Online and Power Platform.
  • Experience working in environments requiring US Government security clearance.
  • Able to obtain a federal security clearance; active or recent federal security clearance preferred.
