AI & Systems Intern

At Advantive, interns don't spend the semester watching other people build things.

As an AI & Enterprise Systems Intern, you'll work on real business problems and build solutions using AI, automation,
data, APIs, and enterprise platforms. That could mean building an AI agent, automating a Finance workflow, connecting
systems, improving analytics, or figuring out why a business process takes twelve steps when it should take three.

You'll work alongside our Enterprise Systems & Technology team inside a high-growth, PE-backed software company
with a $250M+ ARR portfolio. You'll have access to the same platforms, problems, and opportunities our full-time team
works with.

Our interns have shipped AI agents, reusable skills, automations, and internal tools that are actively used across the
business. This isn't a program built around hypothetical projects or slide decks.

The expectation is simple: learn fast, build useful things, and ship.

What You'll Do

• Build and test AI-powered solutions, including agents, internal tools, reporting experiences, and workflow automations.
• Experiment with LLMs, agents, and AI workflows to solve real operational problems and help turn successful experiments
  into tools the business can use.
• Build integrations and automations using APIs and enterprise automation platforms.
• Work with data to build and improve dashboards, reporting, and business insights.
• Identify inefficient business processes and design better ways to automate, simplify, or improve them.
• Improve systems across analytics platforms, business applications, and core enterprise tools.
• Contribute to implementations, integrations, and system enhancements from idea through deployment.
• Document what you build so solutions can be supported, reused, and scaled.
• Work directly with teams across Finance, Operations, Sales, and other parts of the business to understand problems and
  build practical solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
• At least a sophomore (2nd year) or higher
• Basic experience with Excel, SQL, data analysis, or similar tools
• Familiarity with any programming or scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus
• Curious about AI, automation, and how enterprise systems work together
• Comfortable experimenting, learning new technology, and figuring things out when there isn't already a playbook.
• Strong communicator who can work with both technical and business teams
• Willing to take ownership and see solutions through

Nice to Have (Not Required)

You don't need to check every box. We're more interested in how you think, learn, and build.

• Coursework or personal projects involving data analytics, systems, AI, or process improvement.
• Experience with dashboards such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to automation or orchestration tools such as Power Automate, Workato, n8n, or Zapier.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar systems.
• Experience building with AI tools, LLMs, APIs, agents, or automation. •
• A project you built because you saw a problem and thought, "There has to be a better way to do this.
