JOB OVERVIEW:
With independent judgment and discretion coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment supplies, and services for use or for further processing within the supplier management organization by performing the following duties for the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Issues a high quantity of purchase orders to a supply base that is mostly established.
• Daily activities include quoting, negotiating, system data maintenance/entry, issuing/revising POs, tracking shipments, updating purchase order status and resolution of invoice issues.
• Work closely with program teams and suppliers to coordinate delivery dates.
• Update and maintain department policies and procedures. Obtain regular status and delivery confirmations from suppliers.
• Ability to work in small cross-functional teams which include functions such as engineering, supplier quality, program management and planning.
• Reviews requisitions, statements of work, drawings, and supplier capabilities to aid in supplier selection.
• Conducts in-depth research on new manufacturing processes, products, and price trends to assist in product development, value analysis, standardization, and recommended cost savings.
• Obtaining regular status and delivery confirmations from suppliers and managing U.S. Government reporting per FAR and DFAR
• Perform other duties as required

This position requires daily autonomous decision-making capabilities when working with both internal and external customers.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or other Business study preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in procurement
• Ability to obtain ATF approval to work with our products.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing activities, purchasing, materials, production process and inventory methods
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient in MRP i.e. Project, Costpoint, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and internet for research.
COMPETENCIES:
• U.S. Government reporting (FAR and DFAR) and specific supplier-related tasks
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in-person, via email, and via phone.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
