Job Description

Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

At Plant 2, Energetics Production Operators are responsible for the final assembly of CAD/PAD rocket motors and artillery base bleeds. They complete all required production documentation and prepare finished units for delivery while maintaining safe, accurate, and consistent manufacturing practices.

What you will do as an Energetics Production Operator
You will perform precision production work on energetic devices and defense systems where every operation, measurement, and signoff matters. Success in this role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, personal accountability, and an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality.
• Assemble mission critical energetic devices and defense products using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical and electronic tooling, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment.
• Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures, Process Specifications, work instructions, and production documentation to complete each operation exactly as required.
• Set up and operate assigned manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures as trained and authorized.
• Safely handle explosives, solvents, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials throughout the manufacturing process.
• Verify components, materials, tooling, and documentation before beginning work and maintain accurate product traceability through each operation.
• Complete production records and required quality documentation clearly, accurately, and on time.
• Recognize and promptly report process variances, defects, damaged tooling, equipment concerns, and any condition that could affect safety or product quality.
• Take ownership of assigned work and meet production standards without compromising safety, procedural compliance, or workmanship.
• Collaborate with production leads, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and team members to maintain product flow and meet customer commitments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection ready work area through daily equipment cleaning and housekeeping.
• Perform minor equipment setup, routine equipment checks, and basic maintenance as trained and authorized.
• Support multiple product lines, work areas, and production priorities based on training and business needs.
• Wear and properly maintain required Personal Protective Equipment, including safety eyewear, flame resistant clothing, conductive shoes, and a full face air purifying respirator when required.
• Work overtime when required to support production commitments.

What you need to qualify as an Energetic Assembler
We are looking for dependable people who take pride in disciplined work, follow procedures, contribute to the team, and understand that quality is built into every step of the process.
• Experience in Aerospace, Energetic or Manufacturing Assembly
• 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
• Ability to walk / stand 80% of the time.
• Able to lift 5 lbs. constantly, 25 lbs. occasionally, and 50 lbs. infrequently. Above 50 lbs. with a team lift.
• Must have the ability to understand and speak English, as well as read and write in English.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Possessor license. 
• Ability to pass a background and drug test
