Job Summary

U.S. Pipe is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Project Manager to lead assigned pipeline infrastructure projects from initiation through successful completion. This role serves as the central point of coordination between customers, Regional Sales Managers, and internal manufacturing, logistics, drafting, and technical teams.

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving project execution, monitoring schedules and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who can manage multiple priorities, understand technical project requirements, and keep projects moving forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and Sales Managers.
  • Understand customer needs and objectives and translate them into clear project requirements and deliverables.
  • Review detailed project plans prepared by the Drafting Department, including timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables, to ensure projects are positioned for successful completion.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities and monitor progress against established plans, schedules, and commitments.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, and issues early and work with Sales and Technical Resource Engineers to develop and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate communication between customers and internal project teams to ensure information is timely, accurate, and clearly understood.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments, coordinating resources and resolving issues to meet project and customer expectations.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle and proactively address concerns.
  • Prepare and communicate project status updates, including progress, risks, issues, and key milestones, for customers and management.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve future project execution.
  • Stay current on relevant industry trends, developments, and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, project management, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and review project specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects from initiation through completion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use new software and systems.
  • A combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification.
  • DBIA or Associate DBIA certification.
