*Job Summary: *
We're seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating various metal components and structures, working with a range of materials, including aluminum. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine shop operations and proficiency in various welding techniques.
Assists with duties of the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing team, and HVAC system knowledge is beneficial. A willingness to learn and adapt, and any knowledge of duct work and fabrication would be an asset.
The position requires specific skills as a Welder/Fabricator; however, flexibility and skill set to work in other areas within the engineering department would be an asset as welding is not always required daily.
*Key Responsibilities:
1. *Welding and Fabrication: *
- Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding
- Fabricate and repair metal parts, equipment, and structures
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
2. *Maintenance and Repair: *
- Repair and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities
- Identify and address welding-related issues
- Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure efficient repairs
3. *Safety and Quality: *
- Follow safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
- Participate in quality control and assurance processes
4. *Teamwork: *
- Collaborate with other departments and teams
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Support maintenance and engineering activities
*Requirements: *
1. *Experience: * 2-5 years of welding experience, preferably in a maintenance or manufacturing setting
2. *Skills: *
- Proficient in various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc)
- Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to work with various metals and materials
- Good communication and teamwork skills
3. *Certifications: *
- AWS or ASME welding certification preferred
- Other relevant certifications, such as OSHA, may be beneficial
*Working Conditions: *
1. *Work Environment: * Workshop, fabrication area, or on-site at various locations within the resort
2. *Physical Demands: * Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent standing, bending, and lifting
