Cannabis Hand Roll Technician

Job Title: Hand Roll Technician | Reports to: Hand Roll Supervisor | Location: Homestead, FL 

A Cannabis Hand Roll Technician, also known as a Joint Roller, plays a crucial role in the cannabis industry, particularly in the production of hand-rolled joints. Their primary responsibility is to expertly roll consistent joints. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Expertly hand-roll joints using a variety of cannabis strains and papers, ensuring uniformity in size, shape, and weight. 

• Assure each hand roll you produce is consistent and uniform in size, shape and weight. 

• Maintaining a sanitized work area. 

• Sanitizing between strains worked with. 

• Inspect and assess the quality of cannabis flower before rolling and removing any undesirable material, such as stems or seeds. 

• Maintain consistent product quality by adhering to established rolling techniques and company standards.  

• Keep accurate records of the number of pre-rolled joints produced, as well as the materials and strains used in production. 

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination. 

• Stay up-to-date with local and state regulations related to cannabis production, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. 

• Optimize the rolling process for productivity while maintaining product quality.  

• Train and mentor new employees in rolling techniques and product quality standards.  

• Other responsibilities as assigned by management. 

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in cannabis hand rolling or a related field is preferred. 

• Exceptional hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.  

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products. 

• Knowledge of different cannabis strains and their characteristics is a plus. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment. 

• Adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines. 

Working Conditions: 

• Long periods of sitting and repetitive hand movements. (Breaks taken throughout the day).  

• Exposure to cannabis plant material.  

• Must adhere to strict security and confidentiality protocols. 

• Compliance with all state and local regulations regarding the handling of cannabis products is mandatory.
