Infrastructure Support Analyst

Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsibilities for this position include maintaining positive relationships with company personnel, troubleshooting software and hardware issues and documenting fixes and information flows. Candidate should be self-motivated, thorough and demonstrate logical problem-solving skills in a Windows environment. Candidate will be expected to work in all facets of IT including but not limited to: Desktop Support, security, telecom, etc. as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide technical support for workstations, printers, and desktop applications including software and hardware installations
  • Ability to set Operating System standards and maintain OS template images
  • Work with Business Analysts to ensure proper procedures and documentation is in place
  • Learn new systems and software as required to assist the business
  • Responsible for ordering, setting up, and configuration of PCs and/or laptops as directed, and keeping accurate inventory of same
  • Analyze, document, and log information and fixes
  • Support all corporate offices with any and all IT incidents or requests
  • Gather data and implement changes to improve end user experience

Other Duties

  • Wireless client and Firmware setup and support
  • Analyzes future needs for end users
  • Participates in Disaster Recovery testing
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and participate in on-call rotation as needed
  • Maintain Operating System patch levels for a growing client base
  • Troubleshoot mobile device connectivity

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent Customer service and Communication skills
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and network connectivity as it applies to the desktop and server environments
  • Strong PC troubleshooting skills
  • Medium Strength Windows Server Troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and guide users to adopt new technologies

Education and Experience

  • A+ Certification and/or MCP is a plus
  • Associates degree or equivalent 3 – 5 years’ experience with Windows 7 and Windows10 in Desktop Support position required. 

Essential Physical Demands

 

While performing the duties of this position, the candidate is required to have the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, kneel and manipulate (lift, carry or move) light to medium weights of 20 – 40 lbs. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read and edit information.
