We are currently seeking two Staffing Specialists to support our Federal client, the Department of Commerce. The successful candidates will apply their advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in performing end-to-end Federal staffing functions, conduct recruitment and staffing activities, and demonstrate knowledge of Federal recruiting and staffing laws, regulations, policies, business processes and technology. 

These positons are full time and the work can performed remotely. Successful candidates must be onsite in Washington, DC for at least 4 weeks to train on the agency's hiring processes.

The Staffing Specialists will perform the following tasks:
  • Lead Staffing Analysts and Senior Analysts
  • Drive interaction with hiring managers, recruiters, position classifiers and position managers
  • Perform the End-to-End (Recruitment to Hire) Staffing Process including recommending recruitment strategies and options, job offers and security processing
  • Perform Applicant Qualification Reviews
  • Input and maintain data in Federal Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) System
  • Post jobs and follow job posting processes
  • Participate in quality control and process improvement activities
  • Coordinate the activities of analysts, as needed

Skills & Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience performing the full range of staffing activities for a federal agency. This work must demonstrate the candidate’s understanding and execution of work activities in compliance with all applicable federal laws, regulations and policies. 
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Proven organization and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook • Ability to operate efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Possess great attention to detail
  • Experience handling and processing sensitive information (PII)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (with required experience noted above)
Preferred Requirements
  • Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) certification strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of general human resources practices acquired through formal education or some years of Federal Human Resources experience across functional areas
  • Knowledge of federal tracking and processing systems such as Monster Government Systems (MGS) and HR Connect
