Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides financial and analytic support for operational and concept-level projects/performance. This position works closely with concept and holding company leadership to understand trends and identify opportunities and risks associated with current performance.  

Essential Duties can include:

  • Leads the period, quarter, and annual business review process and presents findings and recommendations to concept and holding company leadership
  • Leads the annual budget and periodic projection process for the concept or holding company and provides tactical support to other concepts based on scope of responsibility
  • Provides support to concept leadership for quarterly business reviews with operations leaders
  • Development of actionable reporting and research tools in business intelligence software (Power BI) for key operational metrics
  • Assists with management training with regards to key operational metrics or reporting tools
  • Recommends and delivers on plans to achieve planned sales and cash flow
  • Provides frequent direction, support, and development to direct reports

Other Duties:

  • Manages ad hoc analytical requests
  • Provide inter-concept support on systems as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Intellectually curious self-starter that takes full ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts succinctly to leaders throughout the organization and influence up to maximize financial performance of the organization
  • Ability to simplify complex analysis into actionable information
  • Be an advocate for positive change within the organization and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Be an advocate for automation of concise, actionable reporting on key operational metrics at the concept- and holding-company level
  • Ability to manage multiple high priorities in a fast-paced, performance-driven organization 

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting/financial software skills
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and with teams
  • Experience writing reports/dashboards in Power BI or other business intelligence software required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Restaurant Industry experience desired but not required
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • 7-10 years of related experience
  • Strong technical/systems experience desired; experience with SSRS report builder, SQL, COGNOS, Marketing Vitals, APT Test & Learn, or other statistical/financial software preferred

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Requires the ability to work at a computer for long periods of time, with minimal situations where lifting or moving objects are required. The role has the potential for infrequent travel based on project work
