The Assistant Controller reports directly to the Controller and is essential for maintaining the integrity of accounting operations, enhancing financial reporting accuracy, and contributing to the efficient integration of financial processes for acquisitions. The Assistant Controller is responsible for ensuring operational excellence in the accounting function, upholding compliance and reporting standards, and facilitating the financial integration of acquired companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct consolidated GAAP audits without material weaknesses, with audit adjustments staying below the target set by the Audit Committee.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality monthly accounting closes, meeting company targets for business day completion.
  • Integrate financials of acquired companies into the existing chart of accounts and departments, including necessary allocations, within 30 days of deal closure.

Requirements

  • Experience with M&A
  • Passion for leveraging AI into accounting processes
  • 4+ years experience in accounting roles
  • 1+ years experience of accounting leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
  • Experience in a private equity-backed SaaS environment highly preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Licensed CPA, preferred
