Job Description

Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are encouraged to consider a full-time position with Liberty Healthcare’s medical group at DHCI - a highly rated skilled nursing facility located in Smyrna, Delaware.

Responsibilities

  • Providing primary care to a case load of approximately forty patients
  • Rounding on units daily and evaluating patients
  • Conducting examinations, performing diagnostic tests, providing preventive care, developing and managing treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases, and prescribing medications
  • Providing consultation and health education to nursing and ancillary staff
  • Collaborating with the facility's onsite Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner, RNs, and direct support staff
  • Actively participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings

Workplace and schedule

You will work onsite at DHCI Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with PA-C and prescriptive authority 
  • Clinical competence in the care of adults and geriatric clients
