The Opportunity 

This role performs post-sale, off-site, and on-site client-site work for our Public Safety customers. They will be responsible for infrastructure reviews, virtualization, storage configuration, security reviews, backups, antivirus, operating systems installation and configuration\hardening, SQL Server installation and configuration\hardening, Active Directory configuration, database tuning, clustering, cloud deployments, software installations, operating system, SQL and software upgrades, testing, disaster recovery, technical meetings, hardware and software maintenance, interface/integration installation and configuration on CentralSquare deployments as assigned. 

This role will possess experience in providing technical services and must be able to achieve an entry-level of product knowledge across one or more CentralSquare Technology product families. 

This position will serve as a liaison between CentralSquare and its clients to deliver a high-quality customer experience and be able to partner with internal and external team resources and convey customer feedback to technical design, engineering, and project management staff.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements: 

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree or an Associate's Degree or certificate with equivalent work experience, or relevant work experience 
  • 2 to 5 years of experience 
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot networking issues across Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with MongoDB is a major plus
  • If not MongoDB, solid SQL experience is required
  • SQL scripting experience is a strong plus (not required)
  • High confidence working from the command line (Linux and Windows)
  • Comfortable with Python from a business analyst / automation perspective
  • Experience supporting or writing tests is a plus
  • Solid soft skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal teams
  • Public safety experience is highly valued
  • Former or current dispatchers are strongly preferred
  • Dispatch system administration experience is a significant advantage (IT staff)
  • Background as a firefighter is ideal; law enforcement experience is also valued
  • Ability to travel potentially 25% of the time during busy seasons
     

CJIS Clearance 

A required part of the onboarding process for this role involves obtaining CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) clearance—a critical credential for safeguarding public safety data. At CentralSquare, we’ll stand with you every step of the way to secure this clearance should you be selected for hire. As part of the process, a comprehensive background check will be conducted, and please note that U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is generally required to obtain CJIS clearance.
