Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for being assigned projects selected by the Construction Manager of the Planning and Construction Department. For these projects the Project Manager will be responsible for working with the CAD Manager, Procurement Manager, and Senior Project Manager prior to the start of the project to compile bidders lists and bid documents.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Compile bidders list and bid documents
· Gathering bidder questions
· Partake in bid review meetings with the Procurement Manager, CAD Manager, and Construction Manager
· Responsible for having kickoff meetings with awarded contractors and establishing a project schedule with the Senior Project Manager
· Oversee onsite project coordination on day-to-day activities that are taking place and visit the site once a week for larger projects
· Maintain a log of all issues, questions, or request for information for each project
· Logging change orders into the system and gather all required back up information from the contractor so that the change order can be presented
· Responsible for creating material takeoffs and material orders for each project and ensuring material arrives on time for each project
· Responsible for making sure all authorities having jurisdiction have been properly contacted and coordinated properly by the contractors for any required inspections
· Gathering closeout documents throughout the project
· Responsible for completing a summary of each project’s status every week
Ideal Candidates would have:
· On the job experience in Construction Manager OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Engineering, or related field of study
· Excellent organizational, communication and detail skills
· Must work within designated normal office hours – Monday through Friday in office in Eau Claire, WI.
