Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The payroll clerk is responsible for reviewing documents for our recently onboarded Team Members, proofing reports for errors, filing, and completing many miscellaneous responsibilities.  If the opportunity presents itself, they can move into other areas such as Team Member transfers, insurance, or legal.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validate that all onboarding documents are received and filled out correctly
  • Data entry
  • Verify accuracy of data entry
  • Proof various reports for errors
  • Photocopy records to fulfill legal requests, subpoenas, etc.
  • Sort through and distribute incoming mail
  • Payroll batch maintenance
  • Verify raise rates and proof information on raise letters
  • Badge deactivations
  • Work with seasonal projects such as insurance open enrollment, Profit Sharing, W-2’s
  • Track Team Member leave of absences
Skills & Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High degree of accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work productively to meet strict weekly deadlines
  • Typing/10 key skills required
  • Previous payroll or office experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills a plus
  • Must be willing to work occasional overtime
  • Excellent attendance
  • Positive attitude
  • Willing to assist with staffing the front desk to greet others and assist with miscellaneous questions
