Product Strategy Analyst
The Product Strategy Analyst discovers, analyzes, and communicates best practice product strategies that accelerate results for all partners. The analyst’s deep knowledge of Enrollment and Marketing Solutions’ products, identification of program successes and opportunities, and discovery of student behavior trends by analyzing results across all our higher education partners ensure that products are always optimized. The Product Strategy Analyst is central to the Product Analytics team mission to turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.
This role may be based in Richmond, VA or Washington, D.C.
Primary Responsibilities:
Product Analysis & Strategy:
- Create cross-partner analyses and make data-driven product recommendations
- Contribute to product roadmaps in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
- Analyze the ongoing performance of Enrollment and Marketing Solutions’, specifically our Audience Generation product - including changes in partner outcomes, as well as the impact of these products on targeted segments of the high school population.
- Monitor operational performance and recommend interventions when necessary as well as identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting for the learning agenda and other initiatives as needed.
- Communicate findings through case studies and other presentations.
Data Mining & Visualization:
- Discover, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to perform strategic analysis and research.
- Create new data visualizations to help the organization understand the analytic results.
Other Analytical Support:
- Provide tactical recommendations when indicated by performance monitoring or in response to internal client requests.
- Support Product Analytics team with project management and content publishing tasks.
- Develop a thorough understanding of how Enrollment and Marketing Solutions products contributes to the success of our partners’ recruitment efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing, or quantitative field required
- 1+ years’ experience using data analysis to generate insightful findings required
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to complete analytical projects independently
- Flexibility and attitude to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging work environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate findings clearly and effectively
- Detail oriented and well organized
- Ability to collaborate with diverse functional areas to successfully complete projects
- Strong work ethic and a desire to own projects from inception to presentation
- Proficiency in standard business applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience in direct marketing, higher education, or fundraising
- Proficiency using SQL, Snowflake, Python, R or other query tools/languages to perform data manipulation, with a working knowledge of databases
- Familiarity with Tableau
- Proficiency developing reports for internal and external audiences that utilize effective visualization techniques and highlight compelling insights

Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $59,000 – $70,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
